6)The Dominion Institute organizes the Great Questions of Canada essay competition which asks students to reflect on some of the most pressing issues facing Canada (Does history matter? What is Canada’s place in the World?)The essays should be 1,500 words in length and can be in either official language. The winning entry will receive a cash prize of $2,000 and a trip to Ottawa for the award ceremonies in November 2009. ( Not available in 2011-2012)
